What is Workplace giving?
Workplace giving is a unique form of supporting your favourite cause where you receive the tax benefit at the time of the donation rather than having to wait until the end of the tax year. The mechanics are simple, you tell your payroll officer/department that you want to make a regular donation to the ACN Foundation. Because you are donating to a registered charity, the money is taken from your pre-tax salary which reduces the amount of tax that you are paying.
Why should I become a Workplace giver?
Workplace giving is an easy and convenient way we can work together to make a significant difference. Just 40 people electing to forego the equivalent of one small coffee per week will mean that a scholarship can be provided to a nurse who would not be able to advance their career because of financial constraints. A regular donation, no matter how small, will go a long way inproviding support and assistance to nurses who need it. We are incredibly grateful to all those who choose to invest in advancing the future of the nursing profession.
These figures, of course, are indicative. From the experience of the One Million Donors’ Campaign, we know that some donors will be able to afford $2.50 per week, whilst others may contribute $20 per week. Regardless of the amount that you can give, on behalf of the nurses whose lives you will affect, we say thank you.

An extra special reason to donate in 2020
As part of celebrations for 2020 Year of the Nurse & Midwife, we are excited to announce that, thanks to a benefactor who wishes to remain anonymous, every scholarship that is funded will be matched with a gifted scholarship. This means that with your generosity we can make a tangible statement of support by equipping nurses with further knowledge of their specialty and advancing their clinical practice skills.
Individually we are powerful, together we are unstoppable and can make a real difference to the lives of nurses and the patients they care for.
