Esther Sarah Jean (Stewie) Stewart Scholarship

The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) Foundation in collaboration with Serco are delighted to offer two scholarships to support mental health nurses and nurses in rural and remote areas to support their studies. 

The two scholarships are:

  • Matron Irene (Melville) Drummond Scholarship
  • Esther Sarah Jean (Stewie) Stewart Scholarship

Eligibility criteria


Applications are open to members and non-members who meet the following criteria:

  • have current registration as an enrolled or registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • work in an Australian rural area described by the Modified Monash Model as a registered nurse whom also resides within the MM3 to MM7 categories
  • currently enrolled in a postgraduate course, such as a graduate certificate, graduate diploma or masters.
 

Selection criteria


Question 1

How will your course improve the quality of peoples lives and support you to achieve good outcomes for those accessing your services.

Question 2

Describe your commitment to working within mental health including:

  • Describe the services you are currently delivering to those accessing your services and the difference you hope to make in your work.
 

Value of scholarship


$2,500 towards the cost of postgraduate study, this contribution includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Course fees
  • Text books
  • Other study related costs
