The ACN Foundation provided eight scholarships valued at up to $5000 to allow Fellows and Members to enhance their learning and professional skills by attending the Jon Baines Tour Nursing Study Tour to Vietnam in October 2023. The scholarship recipients visited and met with nurses, who provided excellent insights into nursing, health care and society in Vietnam. Visits included Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi, Quang Hop Integrative Medicine Clinic and Kim Long Charity Clinic, both in Hue, to learn of the work carried out by its volunteers and nurses, providing free healthcare and support to impoverished rural populations. Adjunct Prof. Kylie Ward led the professional programme. It was balanced with various cultural visits, including opportunities to experience Vietnam's beauty, cuisine, culture and history. For many who attended, this tour was educational and life-changing.
