Scholarship placements for the ACN Institute of Leadership – Emerging Policy Leader Program

The Australian College of Nursing Foundation (ACNF) is delighted to offer scholarships for the Emerging Policy Leader Program (EPLP). The program will commence in early 2025.

The Emerging Policy Leader Program is ideal for registered nurses who are eager to influence health care policy and drive meaningful change without the extended commitment of a policy degree. This program is tailored for those who wish to apply evidence-based research to policy decisions, identify and address policy gaps, and develop impactful policy recommendations. Whether you are looking to enhance your advocacy skills, engage in policy-making, or contribute to public policy change on a local, national, or global scale, this program provides the tools and mentorship needed to become a leader in health care policy.

Value of scholarship: $10,000 (includes travel and accommodation)

Number of places available: Up to 7

Eligibility criteria

Applicants should be new to policy but there is no restriction on their nursing experience who meet the following criteria:

• Must be an early or mid-career Registered Nurse in Australia
• Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
• Willing and able to make a one-year commitment of at least 10 hours per week to the program
• Preference will be given to First Nations, Torres Strait Islander, and rural remote nurses
